So finally we went for a hike. We have had planning for so long, but something or the other always came up. It was same this weekend. The place that we had planned was having a bad weather. But at the last moment, with Pammi pro-activeness we decided on a new destination. And began journey towards Annette lake.
This place is around 50 miles from seattle (exit 47 on I-90E). We reached there and parked the car, took the customary group photo and started the hike. The weather was actually awesome with cool breeze blowing. The hike itself is kind of moderate, but it had its own pitfalls and surprises. The start was very pleasant with us crossing multiple bridges , feeling the wet spray of gushing water. One of the photos in the blog has Pammi posing for a matrimonial photograph :) One of the bridge was unique in the sense that it was essentially created by carving steps on a fallen tree. Stopping for frequent pit stops, we were going merririly when suddenly came along the small patch of snow. We were excited and continued moving on. We finally came to a place where the hike suddenly got converted into a snow hike. It was getting cold and trecherous and we couple the fact that Lovey was in his slippers (a walk in the park, as we say), we finally decided to turn back.
But the best part of the trek was compliment given to lovey that he now has "fulle hue gaal" which sounds better as "blossoming cheeks". We kept on chiding him althrough the hike and will continue to do so :)
